Going online — and what it actually means
Joining a union, going online, accepting offers, completing trips.
On the Driver home screen, the Online toggle flips your status between 'online' and 'offline'. When you go online, the app asks for location permission once, captures your current GPS, and sends it with the status flip. The dispatch service uses that position to match you with nearby riders. While online, the app pings your location periodically so the match stays accurate. Toggle off when you stop driving — your phone battery thanks you.
