Why I no longer see the same message twice
Plain-language plans, Being threads, and contact bridging.
Earlier, if your phone briefly lost signal while sending a message, the message could appear twice in the thread — once for the original send, once for the retry. We added an idempotency key so the server now recognises a retry as the same message and collapses it. You'll still see your message land once, even on a flaky connection.
